Casimir: Maybe you should be more precise with your report on the amount of water and all those. And I agree with the others as to give this a experiment a fair one,you will have to measure the frequency of the music.
Our response: ouh okay, thanks for the suggestion you gave ^^ we will take note of what you say, amount of water... What do you mean by saying measuring the frequency of the music? Could you like explain or elaborate more on it?

Stella: About the classical music i have this link,

http://www.ehow.com/facts_6760299_classical-music-affect-plants_.html

And i saw this interesting question: Why does music make plants grow taller?

http://www.ehow.com/about_6461438_music-make-plants-grow-taller_.html

i thought classical music made it faster?
Our Response: hey Stella, thanks for your link you gave us. It is very useful as we get to know how classical music affect plants. It is proven that classical music do affect the plants and it make the plant grow stronger and healthier compared to other musics. As for the question you asked us, Why does music make plants grow taller? We had looked throught the link and find it useful, thanks for all the link you send us :D we appreciate what you did , thanks.

Casimir:

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_are_the_effects_of_music_on_plants

This could help you alot but i think you could tried more type of music. As the link suggest rock music seems to have a detrimental effect on plant growth. so it should nt be classical music which slow it down?
Our Response: Hey casimir, thanks for the link ! hmpmmm, As you suggested that my group should try more type of music, i had to agree with you but as you know that our time is limited when we were doing the experiment. But from our data, when the classical music is playing, the result showed that it decrease when the tempo is low/slow, and when the tempo is high/fast like dance music, it increases. So through our own data it is proven that music like classical music affect it. But when searching, the link you gave us indeed said that rock music seems to have a detrimental effect on plant growth.

Glenn: og. are you serious that music really speeds up/ slows down photosynthesis ?! I posted a video by Mythbusters about does music affect plant growth or smething. according to them, it didnt have any effect i.i
Our response: We cant be very sure about it but through the experiment and the data results we get, music do speed up / slows down photosynthesis. 0.o could you show us the video the next time? thanks :D

Casimir: According to what our group scienceinquest found it do really have a effect. Take a look at this,

Our response: Hey, thanks for your link :D

Stella: Most green plants respire aerobicly as these complex organisms need a large amount of energy to survive, carry out life processes. They don't have special breathing mechanism for gaseous exchange. Gaseous exchange occurs mainly through stomata and young stems.
Our Response: ouh? really? Gaseous exchange occurs only through the stomata and young stems? What do you exactly mean? Could you like explain further deeper?

Szerui: plants breathe through diffusion?

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Do_plants_breathe

Our Response: From the website, we had copy and paste the whole thing here so as to benefit others to be able to see the information easier (:
Not as we do, with lungs. which is an active process, but they do breathe by a passive process. Both plants and animals carry on a process called respiration which occurs on a cellular level and involves an exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Plants mostly do this in their leaves, which in some ways are similar to our skin (which, incidentally, is the largest organ in our bodies).
The process by which all respiration takes place is called diffusion - plants 'breathe' through their leaves - the really cool thing is that they 'exhale' - ready? oxygen...which is why we want trees - because they breathe by 'inhaling' carbon dioxide and 'exhaling' oxygen for us to use in our bodies to do our own respiration.BTW - Animals breathe differently than plants. We do it in two places, in our lungs - as most people are aware - and also in our body tissues. Our lungs take in oxygen (that came from the plants respiration) and we put it in our blood, and at the same time release the carbon dioxide from the blood and put it into the atmosphere so the plants can use it. In addition, we also have a second type of breathing that occurs in all our bodies called tissue respiration. In our tissues, we take the oxygen from the blood and put it in the tissues, and at the same time take the carbon dioxide from the tissues and put it in the blood to be taken to the lungs.

Wilber: Plants breathe by respirating aerobically and exchange of gaseous occurs through stomata on the underside mostly and less on the upperside.
Our Responses: so that means the air enter them through the stomata on the leaves?
