~Linda~: Em i don tink its suitable to say tat oxygen is a waste to the plants becoz eventually they will need to use the oxygen for respiration also.

Stella: Gaseous exchange occurs mainly through stomata and young stems.

Stella: Most green plants respire aerobically as these complex organisms need a large amount of energy to survive,carry out life processes.They don't have special breathing mechanism for gaseous exchange.
