MUSIC AFFECT PLANT GROWTH?
•For decades, people have been experimenting with music and plant growth. Many amateur plant growers claim that classical music works better than loud rock and roll and heavy metal. So far, scientific studies have not backed up this claim. No one has proven that plants prefer one kind of music to another.
•Plants do like noise. Plants exposed to a set frequency of sound tend to germinate more quickly, grow taller and weigh more than those kept in silence. Both 50,000 hz ultrasound (above the human hearing range) and 5,000 hz sound seem to work. Therefore, there's a good chance that plants like any sound you might play for them, including music.
•Plants also like good, attentive care. If you are playing music you like for a plant, it may lead you to take better care of it. You will be more likely to carefully water and feed the plant and make sure it has good light. It might look like the music helps the plant grow, when you are actually taking better care of it.
•Plants like carbon dioxide. If you are standing by a plant, singing to it, it is going to absorb some carbon dioxide from your breath. This could help it to grow more quickly.

DOES MUSIC AFFECT THE RATE OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS?
Today during science lesson, we had change our group aim to DOES MUSIC AFFECT THE RATE OF PHOTOSYNTHESIS? In short,
Aim:
To find out whether music affect the rate of photosynthesis and what type of music affect the rate of photosynthesis.
Hypothesis:
Music will increase the rate of the photosynthesis.
Approach[ summary of how to do an experiment]:
4 water plants under the sun, 1 plant is kept with music, the other one is not kept with music, and the other two water plants is kept with two different type of music, Dance/Club play Song and pop Songs.
Pop music like,
Watcha Say
Bad romance
Down
California Girls
Dance/Club Play Song music like,
Your love is my drug.
The rest of the materials used is kept constant/same except for the music.
Apparatus:
-4 beakers
-4 test tubes
-music :
*pop and dance/club play Songs
*random music
Materials:
-8 water plants [in case if any plants goes wrong]
Steps to do the experiment:
step 1:
Place all th water plants into the test tube given seperately.
Step 2:
Put water in the test tube in case the plant die.
Step 3:
Put any 3 plants into 3 different beakers .
Step 4:
inside the beakers, let the different music play softly by the side of the test tubes.
Step 5:
place one of the water plant into a beaker too, but music is not needed for that plant.
Step 6:
Place all the beakers under the sun.
Step 7:
Observe each of the plants for every 5 minutes and record down the result.
Step 8:
observe the plants for about 15 minutes and at the end of the experiment, compare the result. Does music and the different type of music affect the rate of photosynthesis?
